PAULA PIERCE is Of Counsel to the firm; she received her JD, summa cum laude in 1986 from the South Texas College of Law and a BA, cum laude from Trinity University.  She was ranked 4th in her law class finishing in the top 1% while serving as Technical Editor of the South Texas Law Journal, Brief Writer, and on Moot Court Teams.  She was also selected to the Order of Lytae (honor society) and was inducted as a Barrister of the American Inns of Court in 2014.

In addition to her Texas State Bar License, Paula is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Southern Districts of Texas and the U.S. Fifth Circuit.

Her legal career has included serving as Texas Supreme Court Briefing Attorney for Justice James P. Wallace, handling medical malpractice, product liability and complex civil litigation and serving in both legal and managerial capacities with the Texas Legal Services Center.  Her numerous legal awards include the Houston Bar Foundation's Pro Bono Award and Advocate of the Year from the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault.
